Neighborhood characters

There was a harmless guy on W.207th Street & Broadway in Inwood whom I'm guessing was homeless who used to panhandle. He was known as "Circles" because due to his mental illness he would walk around in circles on the corner all day. People would give him
money and food to get by. He would be hospitalized from time to time then reappear back at his corner looking all cleaned up after his hospital stay. Circles was a neighborhood fixture that didn't bother anyone and whom people would come to the aid of if anyone gave him a hard time. I often wondered where he was originally from and if anyone knew his background.
