I was drafted on a crisp St. Patricks day. I used the token that the draft board sent us along with 3 others from the Heights.They were; Peter Harding,Orange county,Patty Murtagh,RIP and Tommy Dolan,RIP. We all took the "A" train down to Whitehall Street. All the people were dancing and marching in the street when we went away.I remember the Box Lunch the Army providedus for our Train ride to Ft. Jackson SC. ..Two baloney sandwiches and a apple. What a treat
